Who We Are
Gulibu was established to unleash the traditional knowledge inherited by the sages and elders of Northern Ghana to make a positive contribution to people’s lives. All our products are registered with the Foods and Drugs Authority, licensed by the Ghana Standards Authority.
Gulibu is based in Tamale in Northern Ghana, the driest and most poverty-stricken region with the least economic and employment opportunities. As part of its efforts to make a positive contribution, Gulibu empowers rural women, providing them with sustainable employment to deliver high-quality products.

Our Emblem
Our emblem is based on a traditional emblem whose name is “wa-wari biegu ku nai tingbani” and which can be translated as “harmless activity on mother earth.” We inherited this emblem from Tamale’s sages because it reflects our philosophy of caring for mother earth and all of its children. This care is manifested in our product lines, all of which are 100% natural and free of hazardous chemicals.
Our Core Values
Caring: In the Dagbani language of Northern Ghana, 'Gulibu' means 'Care.' At Gulibu, we put care at the forefront of everything we do by continuously working for the higher good.
Quality: We select the purest herbs and oils to ensure our products are of premium quality.
Social Justice: We believe it is a right for every one of our employees to be treated with dignity, to work in a safe and healthy environment, and to be remunerated fairly.
Fighting Poverty: Female empowerment is an effective way of fighting poverty in Northern Ghana. We have put women at our activities' core by providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to guarantee them a sustained livelihood.
