Unrefined shea butter is natural and contains no added ingredients. It contains a number of vitamins that the skin needs such as Vitamins A, E and F. It is a natural moisturizer that prevents skin dryness. It also acts as an emollient to soften hard and wrinkled skin.  

Our products are made without the use of chemicals such as fertilizers, weedicides and pesticides. Our unrefined shea butter comes from the shea trees which grow by themselves without the intervention of chemicals and fertilizers. The shea nuts are then hand picked and processed into shea butter. The moringa we use is also widely available in Northern Ghana from the moringa trees which grow naturally using compost. As for our other ingredients, we procure them from the best available sources in Ghana. Although our products are not organically certified, they are nonetheless 100% natural.

Our products are made of ingredients which are naturally grown. Unlike some of our competitors, we NEVER resort to using hazardous chemicals such as sodium benzoate, formaldehyde, potassium hydroxide,  phenol, chrozonol, and bleach, even if in small concentrations. What makes our products unique is that we use natural ingredients which are completely harmless to the skin and body.

Palm oil is produced from the nut of the palm tree while Palm Kernel oil is produced from the kernel. In Ghana, we prepare soup from the nut, and after we eat, the ‘waste’ (i.e. the nut) is cracked to get the kernel from which Palm Kernel oil is extracted. We understand the concerns across the world over the use of Palm oil because forest reserves are being destroyed to meet the high demand. We however only source our Palm Kernel oil from legally registered companies that operate under the rules and regulations of the Government of Ghana. Because these companies are governed by law, they don’t destroy forest reserves indiscriminately to produce Palm oil and Palm Kernel oil to meet the high demands.

Although we are not currently registered under fair trade, all our activities and operations are based on the principles of social justice enshrined in our core values. Our company abides by the African traditions endorsed by our chiefs, elders, sages, tribal leaders and the society at large. Our employees are therefore treated with dignity, work in a safe environment and are fairly remunerated. Operating in a manner contrary to our African traditions would lead to severe sanction by our elders.
